Class

Today I was supply teaching for a grade 6 class for the learning centre that I work at on Saturdays. I wish I had this class. It probably is because of the numbers, but these kids were actually well behaved because of Hallowe'en and all, but the three that I had for each class were well behaved. I do not believe that my classroom management skills are top notch, but sometimes some of the kids in my class get to me to no end, and I have to rely on the skills that I acquired to calm myself down and think of a strategy to calm the kids down. The material I was teaching was not that bad, helping verbs for English and decimals/fractions/percents for math.

My experiences with these kids and my tutoring of kids of a wide age range has solidified the fact that I can not handle kids under Grade 4 - and that grade is even pushing it! =p
